The capital of Hungary is one of the nicest places in entire Europe. It use to be a pArt of Austrian country, that is why it is filled with amazing architecture. Nowadays people from Poland are able to travel to Budapest by plane without spending a fortune. Thanks to that we can even visit this capital for one weekend and still appreciate our journey.
In the center of Budapest, next to the amazing Danube river, you can admire wonderful architecture from many periods of times. A the top of the hill raise Royal Castle, building is nice combination of Renaissance, Classical and Baroque architecture. Part of it chambers is open for tourists, you can see in there great examples of interior design. In the same neighborhood you will see the Fishermen Bastion, interesting example of neo Romanian architecture, raised in the end of 19th century. At the other side of Danube river you can visit Hungarian Parliament, wonderful, classical building. At the place in front of it citizens like to spend time and meet the friends. Budapest is also filled with beautiful churches from various époques. If you like a Gothic architecture you shouldn’t miss St. Mathias’s Church, one of the finest sacral building in entire capital. Also you should visit basilica of Saint Stephen, amazing, Baroque temple, with phenomenal interior design.
Also at the old town, under the Royal Castle, there is a huge net of underground chambers. Nowadays you can take a tour in there, but you are doing it on your own risk! This is attractions like from horror movies, each aisle has dark, gloomy light and we can hear the whispers, silent music, and sometimes even screams – of course from the speakers. If you are visiting Budapest during warm season, you should go to Széchenyi Baths. It is one of the biggest complex like that in this part of Europe. You can enjoy a bath in there, see amazing gardens and beautiful architecture. If you are a fan of wildlife you need to visit zoological garden in Budapest, which is connected with botanical sector. You can admire in there plenty of various spices of animals and plans.
In the capital of Hungary you will also see plenty of galleries. Don’t miss the Fine Arts Museum, amazing collection of local and European painters. You will see in there masterpieces of Rembrandt, Goya or Rubens. Another great gallery is Hungarian National Museum with phenomenal interior design, and artifacts connected with each part of Hungarian history.
