When spring is coming, and with that first warmer and longer days, we start to thinking about next holidays. We are dreaming about distance lands, meeting new people, do some sightseeing. Nowadays, since travels become a lot less expensive for Polish citizens, sometimes we have hard time to decide where to go for a summer trip. Most of the people are choosing some tropical, sea resorts. But if you like to spend vacations in more active way, you should go to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.
Travel for a penny
Depending on start location of your trip, another mode of transportation will be more economical. if you are living in southern part of Poland, close to Slovakian border, you can travel to Bratislava by car or a us. Trip like that shouldn’t take longer then three hours. Slickly faster could be train, but if you don’t have a student discount, this alternative could be very costly. For citizens from northern part of the country, the best option will be to get on board of a plane. Since cheap airline connections are available, this is one of the cheapest options. If you like to travel by plane, and you like this trip to be less expensive, you shouldn’t take checked baggage with you. Carry on is free of charge, and usually it is in size of medium valise.
Bratislava is very charming city, with plenty of attractions. If you are interested in history, you should visit Devin Castle, the ruins of Medieval fortress. Since ancient period, on the same spot as those ruins are staying, use to be some kind of cross-borer building. It was completely ruined during Napoleonic wars in beginning of ninetieth century. Nowadays, it is opened for tourists to see. If you are interested in art, you should visit Slovakian national Gallery. You will find in there many of exhibitions about culture of this country, ancient manuscripts, paintings of famous artists, folklore craftsmanship. If you like to cool of in a water during hot day, you can try Zlate piesky, a big lake situated in the center of Bratislava, where a lot of citizens are spending their summer weekends.
If you are looking for less ordinary destination point, you should consider to visit Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. You will have a chance to admire in there many interesting monuments – old ruins, classical palaces, great art exhibitions. Even you can cool off in lake, situated in the center of the capital. Even if you are living in Gdansk, you can get in there during two hours, using airline companies.
